"My appointment to the position of State Minister for Regional Policy Issues is both an honor and a challenge," Mamuka Mdinaradze said during a briefing at the Government Administration.

Mdinaradze thanked the team he had worked with over the past several months.

"I would like to thank the people and the team with whom I have worked over the past few months. I say this sincerely: just as I leave my current position with my head held high, I will work in my new role with that same sense of pride. Thank you very much. The challenge is accepted, Mr. Prime Minister," he said.

According to Mdinaradze, regional development remains one of the Georgian government's top priorities. He described his new position as both demanding and highly responsible, emphasizing the need to accelerate and improve the implementation of regional development goals.

"In meeting this challenge, I will dedicate all my experience to my team and my country. As I have done so far, I am confident that, with the trust of our leaders, I will successfully fulfill this responsibility.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office, the State Security Service, and all law enforcement agencies. Heroes work there—people who serve the state day and night and contribute to the country's development and security. To my new colleagues and teammates in this challenge, I promise that I will work tirelessly alongside them," he said.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced during the briefing that Mdinaradze will assume the newly created position of State Minister for Regional Policy Issues.

The new office will be established within the Georgian government's structure. Mdinaradze will also continue serving as Vice Prime Minister while carrying out his new responsibilities.
