Bio-winery Masho’s Marani, located in the village of Shindisi in Georgia’s Gori municipality, plans to build its own winery in 2027, with an investment of up to $1 million, founder Davit Mechiauri said.
The company currently produces its wine through the Okami winery under Mechiauri’s supervision, but plans to move the entire production and bottling process to its own facility once the new plant is completed.
The winery will be built next to the company’s 7-hectare vineyard and will meet European standards with modern equipment. Mechiauri said the facility will be designed to allow gravity-flow winemaking instead of using pumps.
Masho’s Marani currently holds a transitional organic certification and expects to receive full organic certification next year. The new winery will enable the company to manage the entire winemaking process in-house.
