In 2022, the average median earnings of employees in Georgia increased by 15.6% compared to the previous year and amounted to GEL 1,040.
In 2022, the median earnings is 32.6% lower than the average monthly earnings, - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to the economic activity in 2022 the highest median earnings were observed in the following fields:
• Mining and quarrying – GEL 1, 703;
• Information and communication - GEL 1,637;
• Public administration and defence; compulsory social security – GEL 1,547.
• Construction – GEL 1,500;
• Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - GEl 1,425.
According to 2022 data, the median earnings are lower than the average monthly warnings in all sectors.
