Officers from the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant ministry units, have deported 54 foreign nationals from Georgia following operations conducted over recent days.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, comprehensive measures carried out by the Migration Department resulted in the deportation of 54 citizens, including from Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, the Philippines, and other states.
In accordance with the current legislation, the deported individuals were banned from entering the country.
The fight against illegal migration is one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Based on the latest data, 2,090 illegal migrants have already been expelled from the country this year, including 232 foreign nationals in January, 312 in February, 360 in March, 401 in April, 340 in May, and 391 in June.
