Mishustin: Economies of EAEU Countries Outpace Global Growth Rates

At the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum held on October 1 in Yerevan, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated that the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries are growing faster than the global average. He emphasized that over the past 10 years, the EAEU has established itself as a successful integration project and is becoming increasingly recognized on the international stage.

According to the data, the gross domestic product of the EAEU increased by 4.6% in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. Goods production within the union grew by 4.3%, while the services sector showed a 5.2% increase.

Among the leaders in industrial production growth among the member countries from January to June 2024 was Kyrgyzstan, with an increase of 8.7%. Belarus followed with 7.5%, and Armenia ranked third with 7.3%. Russia, the largest economy in the union, showed a growth rate of 4.2%, while Kazakhstan concluded the list with 3.6%.
