Georgia’s mobile telecommunications market continued to expand in May 2026, with both subscriber numbers and operator revenues increasing year-on-year. According to the Georgian National Communications Commission (ComCom), the total number of mobile subscribers reached 5.94 million, up 4% from 5.7 million a year earlier.
The sector’s combined revenue rose by 8.6% to GEL 83.6 million, compared to GEL 77 million in May 2025.
Magticom remained the market leader, with its subscriber base growing 4.8% to 2.46 million and revenue increasing 7.4% to more than GEL 38.9 million. The company holds a 41.5% share of subscribers and 46.6% of total market revenue. Silknet followed with 2.11 million subscribers, up 4.8% year-on-year, while revenue rose 8% to GEL 28.9 million. Cellfie recorded the strongest revenue growth among operators, with revenue increasing 13% to GEL 15.7 million, alongside a 2.5% rise in subscribers to 1.35 million.
Mobile internet usage also continued to grow. The number of mobile internet users reached 4.6 million in May, marking a 13% annual increase, while overall mobile data traffic also maintained an upward trend, according to ComCom.
