The National Bank of Georgia published a report on money transfers statistics for March 2024.
According to the document, in March 2024, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 278.5 million USD (746.8 million GEL), which is 36.5% (160.0 million USD) less than the amount in March 2023.
96.2% percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 24 largest partner countries, with the volume of transfers from these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in March 2024. In March 2023 the share of these 24 countries constituted 97.3% percent of the total volume of money transfers.
In March 2024, 29.3 million USD (or 78.6 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, which is 3.8% less as compared to 30.5 million USD in March 2023.
