TOP Countries By The Volume Of Money Transfers

In March 2023, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 438.4 million USD (1134.4 million GEL), which is 127.1% (245.3 million USD) more than the amount in March 2022,- according to the report published by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).

97.8% percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 24 largest partner countries, with the volume of transfers from these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in March 2023. In March 2022 the share of these 24 countries constituted 95.4% percent of the total volume of money transfers.


Money Transfers By Countries:

1. Russian Federation - $224 million, an increase of 728% compared to the previous year
2. Italy - $43 million, an increase of 20% compared to the previous year
3. USA - $36 million, an increase of 40% compared to the previous year
4. Greece - $20 million, an increase of 3% compared to the previous year
5. Israel - $19 million, an increase of 10% over the previous year
6. Germany - $18 million, an increase of 55% compared to the previous year
7. Kazakhstan - $17 million, an increase of 131% compared to the previous year
8. Turkey - $10 million, an increase of 22% compared to the previous year
9. Kyrgyzstan - $6 million, an increase of 165% compared to the previous year
10. Spain - $4.9 million, an increase of 5% over the previous year
11. France - $4.3 million, an increase of 15% over the previous year
12. Azerbaijan - $4.2 million, decrease compared to the previous year -12%
13. United Kingdom - $3.8 million, an increase of 30% over the previous year
14. Ireland - $3.3 million, an increase of 91% over the previous year
15. Poland - $2.4 million, a decrease from the previous year -18%
16. Tajikistan - $1.9 million, an increase of 189% compared to the previous year
17. Canada - $1.8 million, an increase of 6% over the previous year
18. United Arab Emirates - $1.7 million, an increase of 30% over the previous year
19. Iraq - $1.6 million, an increase of 191% over the previous year
20. Cyprus - $1.5 million, an increase of 14% over the previous year

In March 2023, 30.4 million USD (or 78.6 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, which is 26.7% more as compared to 24.0 million USD in March 2022.
