"I am grateful for Germany's sanctions against Ivanishvili's illegitimate regime," said Congressman Joe Wilson, co-chair of the US Helsinki Commission, in response to Germany's imposition of additional entry bans on those "responsible for the suppression of protests" in Georgia.
"Grateful for German sanctions on the illegitimate Ivanishvili regime. More sanctions are coming. Free and fair elections are on the only way forward!", - Joe Wilson wrote on social platfrom X.
Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevicienė also issued a statement on the issue. She welcomed Germany's decision and said that "since Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is blocking sanctions at the EU level, all remaining member states should impose them individually."
