In the framework of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Natia Turnava, President of the National Bank of Georgia met with Jihad Azour, Director of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department.
The discussion covered cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, as well as the country’s fiscal and monetary policies. Attention was focused on the progress of structural reforms and the steps taken by the Government of Georgia in this direction.
The meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia; Vakhtang Tsintsadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and H.E. Tamar Taliashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States of America.
