President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, held a working meeting with commercial bank representatives, organized by the Georgian Banking Association.
Key topics included the current state of the banking sector, access to finance, and future plans. Discussions also focused on the development of open banking, updates to the Law on Banking Competition, and the Law on Payment Systems and Payment Services, with a strong emphasis on consumer rights protection.
Turnava emphasized the importance of dialogue with the financial sector, saying it will help expand access to finance and support economic growth.
The meeting was also attended by NBG Vice Presidents Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze, as well as other senior NBG officials and banking sector leaders.
