Natia Turnava, Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), met Jihad Azour, Director of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department, within the framework of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) in Marrakesh, Morocco.
At the meeting, the sides pledged readiness to work intensively to restore the IMF-supported temporarily suspended program and set concrete steps.
Natia Turnava reconfirmed that the National Bank remains committed to keeping prices stable.
Deputy Finance Ministers Ekaterine Guntsadze and Mirza Gelashvili attended the meeting.
The NBG and the IMF have successfully cooperated since 1991.
