The President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, accompanied by the delegation, participates in the spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).
The delegation comprises First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and NBG Vice Presidents Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava.
Within the framework of a one-week visit, Natua Turnava will meet Jihad Azour, the IMF’s Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, Bo LI, the IMF’s Deputy Managing Director, Alejandro Hajdenberg, the new chief of the IMF mission to Georgia and Fatih Karahan, the new central bank governor of Turkiye.
Meetings will be held with investors of U.S. companies J.P. Morgan and Bank of America. Deputy NBG President Ekaterine Mikabadze will address the regional finance Conference at George Washington University, while Deputy NBG President Ekaterine Galdava will engage in an OEDNE-organized workshop.
Directors of the IMF and WB from world countries and representatives from the finance sector participate in annual spring meetings to discuss global issues, poverty reduction, economic development, cyber security and finance technologies.
