Silk Road Group plans to gradually invest in the development of the historic Tsinandali Estate in Kakheti, with a master plan that includes a new park, a 1,200-seat concert hall and a hotel. The projects are expected to begin after the eighth season of the Tsinandali Festival of Classical Music, founder Giorgi Ramishvili said.
The master plan is being developed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma together with landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic. A new park will be created above the existing hotel, including the restoration of historic buildings, while the new concert hall will be built within the park and designed by Kuma.
The project also includes a 100-room hotel designed by Kengo Kuma, with an estimated investment of around $50 million. Ramishvili said additional accommodation is needed as the number of visitors to Tsinandali continues to grow.
Construction of the new park is expected to start soon after the festival, followed by the concert hall. Ramishvili expects the new 1,200-seat venue, which will feature advanced acoustics, to open by 2029 at the latest. Investment in the estate will be phased over several years, with further development planned for areas above the vineyards.
