A new road bridge connecting Vashlijvari and Digomi Village has opened over the Digmura River on Tetri Dukani Street, fully restoring traffic on the route.
According to Tbilisi City Hall, the old damaged bridge was completely dismantled and replaced with a modern reinforced-concrete structure. The project also included a pedestrian sidewalk, metal railings, street lighting, road markings and a drainage system, while overhead utility lines were moved underground.
The previous 64-meter metal bridge had been severely damaged and posed a safety risk, with heavy vehicle traffic frequently restricted. The new bridge is designed to improve safety and accessibility in the area.
The project cost GEL 4 million and was implemented by Tbilisi City Hall’s Infrastructure Development Service.
