Restaurants accounted for 17% of cashless spending through TBC Bank channels in August, with spending in the sector continuing to grow year-on-year, according to TBC Capital.
Cashless spending at restaurants increased by 21% year-on-year in August 2026, while the average transaction amounted to GEL 40. Residents accounted for 64% of total restaurant spending through TBC Bank channels, while non-residents accounted for 36%.
Residents’ cashless restaurant spending increased by 24% year-on-year, with the average transaction reaching GEL 30. Non-resident spending at restaurants rose by 17% year-on-year.
The average transaction among non-residents stood at GEL 99, down from August 2025, according to TBC Capital’s review.
