8 082 permissions granted were issued in January-September, 2022 (8.8 percent more compared to the previous year) for the construction of buildings with an area of 5.4 thousand square meters (0.4 percent more compared to the corresponding period of the previous year), - according to the data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the document, 77% of the total permits have been issued in 4 regions of the country, namely: Tbilisi - 50.8 percent, Mtskheta-Mtianeti region - 11.3 percent, Kvemo Kartli region - 8.0 percent and Imereti region - 6.9 percent.
It should be noted that in January-September 2022, permissions were issued for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, hotels, trade facilities, industrial enterprises, agricultural objects and other buildings. The relatively large share of the permissions granted hold the multifunctional residential complexes.
More than half of the total completed construction are distributed in 4 regions of the country, namely: 38% is located in Tbilisi, 11.6% - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, 11.4% – in Kakheti region and 9.2% - in Imereti region.
