2 195 permissions granted were issued in January-March, 2023 (1.5% less compared to the previous year) for the construction of buildings of 1 689.9 thousand square meters (11.4% more compared to the previous year), - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the document, 74.9% of the total permits have been issued in 4 regions of the country, namely: 49.2% in Tbilisi, 10.1% -in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, 8.5% - in Kvemo Kartli region, 7.1% – in Imereti region.
It should be noted that in January-March 2023, permissions were issued for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, hotels, trade facilities, industrial enterprises, agricultural objects and other buildings.
689 objects (24.8 percent more compared to the previous year) of 539.5 thousand square meters (1.2 percent less compared to the previous year) were completed in January-March, 2023.
More than half of the total completed construction are distributed in 4 regions of the country, namely: 28.9% is located in Tbilisi, 17.3% - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, 11.8% – in Kakheti region and 9.9% - in Imereti region.
