Georgia’s job market showed a growth trend in September 2025, with the number of vacancies rising by around 20% compared to August, according to Inga Shakhbaziani, regional manager of the employment platform HR.GE. She shared the data during an interview on BMGTV’s “Women’s Narrative” program.

“The sales sector continues to lead with 21% of all vacancies, followed by HoReCa (13%), administration (9%), medical (8%), banking (7%), production (6%), and logistics and distribution (5%). Meanwhile, IT and development roles together account for around 3%,” Shakhbaziani noted.

She added that, on an annual basis, the HoReCa sector has been among the most active, a trend that contributed significantly to the increase in vacancies during the second quarter. While the market typically slows down during the summer months, a year-on-year decline of about 8% was recorded in October.

Looking ahead, Shakhbaziani expects labor market activity to rise further in November, particularly in the retail sector, as employers prepare for the New Year season.

“We anticipate that the retail sector will become more active in November, and this will certainly drive up the number of job openings,” she said.
