Employment portal HR.GE says in 2022, the number of vacancies increased by 7%.

Accoridng to HR.GE regional manager Inga Shakhbazian, due to the shortage of personnel, companies place the same vacancies twice or three times. As she explains, employers started to indicate the salary, but last year this indicator increased from 5% to 29%.

"2022 was a good year, we placed about 59,800 applications, which means a 7% increase compared to 2021. December was quite passive. A total of 3,600 applications were placed, although we had quite a good increase in other months.

Sales are again in first place, followed by catering, banking and finance. The medical and IT direction is in the TOP-5 as well. This winter surprised us, as there was little activity in terms of posting vacancies at the resorts. Many companies said that they did not have vacationers and did not need additional personnel.

Almost all vacancies are published a second time or even a third time because the companies cannot find the necessary personnel. Even in sales, they have to post vacancies several times due to increased competition. In previous years, if there were 4-5% of vacancies with remuneration, today it is already 29%. Many companies, especially the retail sector, which has a lot of competition, try to recruit staff, indicate the salary and the benefits of the company in order to easily attract applicants," said Shakhbazian, adding that 200-300 job seekers register on HR.GE daily, while the site is visited by 24 to 32 thousand people per day.
