Bus station operator “Okriba” plans to open new intercity terminals in Batumi, Zugdidi, and Tkibuli in 2026, joining its existing hubs in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. Construction has already started in Tkibuli, with completion and licensing expected by Q2 2026, according to company lawyer Paata Kvavadze.
The new stations will follow IST-standard designs to meet passenger demand. “Our goal is to be present in five cities: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, and Tkibuli,” Kvavadze said.
“Okriba” also announced that intercity fares will not increase this year. Revised agreements with carriers have allowed a 15% reduction in ticket prices starting January 15.
