Rooms Hotel Batumi of Adjara Group Holding was to have opened by the end of August 2023, however later the opening was rescheduled to September 15.
Valeri Chekheria, executive director of Rooms Hotel explained the reasons of postponing of the opening.
The reason for the late opening of the hotel, the head of the company calls the delay in the delivery of necessary materials due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“Unfortunately, we were late with the delivery of many things. By September 15 we will be ready to receive guests at Rooms Batumi. Only technical issues remains to be solved for the final opening. The hotel is already taking reservations. At the first stage, we think that the bulk share of guests will be local, since 90% of incoming bookings are made by local holidaymakers, says Chekheria adding that the average cost of accommodation at a hotel will be within $135.”
Adjara Group invested USD 20 million in the opening of 120-rooms hotel in Batumi. Rooms Hotel Batumi was first planned to be open in 2020, but the global pandemic and related complications postponed the opening date of the hotel.
