The construction of a new park in Zgvisubani, located in the Nadzaladevi district, has been completed, as announced by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze during a municipal government meeting.
Mayor Kaladze discussed the park as well as several other significant recreational projects planned for the city.
He revealed that Zgvisubani Park, which was previously a swamp and a waste disposal area, spans 25 hectares. The total cost of the project amounted to GEL 40 million.
“Today, we have a well-organized, illuminated, green recreational space that is equipped with various types of infrastructure, making it suitable for individuals of all ages,” he stated.
The park features soccer and basketball courts, a café, a belvedere, two lakes, walkways, parking spaces, and designated areas for walking pets. The park is divided into two sections that are connected by a small bridge.
The opening ceremony for the new park will take place at 8 p.m. on October 20, featuring a concert by the Mgzavrebi musical band.
