Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Hubert Knirsch.
The German Ambassador congratulated Shalva Papuashvili on his election as Speaker of the Parliament, wished him success in his work.

The parties discussed cordial and partnership relations between the two countries, future cooperation priorities, and Georgia's admission into the European Union. The topic of current events in the country as well as the parliamentary agenda was also discussed.
At the same time, the parties stressed the fact that April 13, 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Shalva Papuashvili commended the Ambassador for his excellent contribution to Georgia's growth and active cooperation, as well as for Germany's support for Georgia's democratic reforms and Euro-Atlantic objectives.
