Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced progress on restoring the railway connection between Armenia and Azerbaijan in an interview with the state news agency Armenpress.
According to the Prime Minister, the Armenian side has developed and sent a written proposal to Azerbaijan outlining plans to restore the railway link, which Yerevan believes will serve the interests of both countries.
Pashinyan emphasized that once a positive response is received from Baku, the parties can swiftly sign the corresponding agreement and commence construction work.
The unblocking of all communications, including the restoration of the railway connection between the two nations, is viewed as a key component in normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and fostering the development of regional connectivity in the South Caucasus.
