Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the decision on the country's participation in the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), which will be held in Baku this November, has not yet been made.
During a press conference on Saturday, August 31, Pashinyan noted that a final decision has yet to be reached. "The overall situation, ongoing processes, and atmosphere will undoubtedly influence our decision," the prime minister emphasized, adding that theoretically, no options can be ruled out.
The decision will be made at the last moment, taking into account the specific circumstances at that time, he said.
Earlier, it was reported that the Azerbaijani side had already sent an invitation to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to participate in the summit.
Currently, Armenia and Azerbaijan are engaged in negotiations to finalize a peace treaty after years of hostility. At the same press conference, Pashinyan revealed that Armenia had submitted another set of proposals to Azerbaijan regarding the draft peace agreement.
