Passenger Traffic Up At Tbilisi and Batumi Airports Between January-February

Passenger traffic at Tbilisi and Batumi international airports has increased. According to the airport operator company TAV Georgia, passenger traffic increased by 18% between January-February 2025, the increase is at the level of 45% compared to the pre-pandemic period.

In January-February 2025, Tbilisi and Batumi international airports under the management of TAV Georgia served 756,824 passengers, compared to 642,616 passengers in the same period in 2024, and 520,860 passengers in the first two months of 2019.

As for the passenger traffic received by each airport, in January-February 2025, Tbilisi International Airport handled 659,736 passengers, compared to 581,923 passengers in the same period last year. According to the above figures, in the first two months of 2025, compared to the same period last year, the passenger traffic at Tbilisi International Airport increased by 13%, and compared to pre-pandemic (2019) data, the increase is 34%. In January-February 2019, the airport received a total of 490,608 passengers.

Batumi Airport’s passenger traffic in January-February 2025 increased by 60% compared to the same period in 2024, and by 221% compared to pre-pandemic (2019) data.

In January-February 2025, Batumi International Airport received 97,088 passengers, in two months of 2024 - 60,693 passengers, and in January-February 2019 - 30,252 passengers.
