5 086 permissions granted were issued in January-June, 2022 (15.6 percent more compared to the previous year) for the construction of buildings of 3 187.8 thousand square meters (7.9 percent more compared to the previous year), - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
It should be noted that 77.3% of the total permits have been issued in 4 regions of the country, namely: 52.1% of the construction works located in Tbilisi, 10.7% -in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, 7.9% - in Kvemo Kartli region, 6.6% – in Imereti region.
1 168 objects (3.5% more compared to the previous year) of 1 246.5 thousand square meters (52.3 percent more compared to the previous year) were completed in January-June, 2022.
More than half of the total completed construction are distributed in 3 regions of the country, namely: 39.4% is located in Tbilisi, 12.7% - in Kakheti region, 10.1% – in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and 8.4% - in Kvemo Kartli region.
