“Work will commence on establishing additional direct flights to Dusseldorf and Hamburg,” announced the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The PM emphasized the importance of setting ticket prices at affordable rates for Georgian citizens.
“As we approach the European Championship starting from June 18, the demand for air tickets has significantly surged, leading to a rise in prices by airlines. However, we should address this issue promptly. I urge the Economy Ministry to facilitate extra direct flights to Dusseldorf and Hamburg. Our priority is to ensure that tickets are available at a steady, affordable rate for our citizens. It is not only crucial for the fans but also for the success of our national football team. The greater the presence of Georgian supporters at the matches, the better the prospects for our team. Therefore, we should facilitate easy and affordable travel for our citizens to Germany. With concerted efforts, I am confident that our team can progress beyond the group stage, and we must strive to facilitate this by all means possible,” Kobakhidze stated.
