I was also asked, but, I think, considering various factors, my meeting with these deputies is not appropriate, - said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, thus responding to the visit of the members of the Bundestag to Georgia.

As Kobakhidze explained, since a few months ago one of the members of the Bundestag appeared at a rally organized by the "radical opposition" a few hours after the meeting with the ruling team, he went directly to the stage and was involved in a "revolutionary attempt", it would not be appropriate for the government to meet with them.

According to him, one of the members of "Georgian Dream" will meet with the Bundestag delegation in order to share what they have to say, but it remains to be seen how effective this will be.

"I was also asked, but, I think, considering various factors, my meeting with these deputies is not appropriate. Among them, taking into account the act that one of their colleagues carried out a few months ago. You remember, one of the members of the Bundestag came to Georgia, he was met by one of the members of our team, a parliamentarian, and a few hours later he was at a rally organized by the radical opposition. He took the stage directly and was involved in the revolutionary effort. Such acts are unacceptable and meetings in such a background are also unacceptable for us. In this case, one of our team members will meet with the Bundestag delegation to share what we have to say. However, it will be seen how effective all this will be", said the Prime Minister.

For information, the speakers of the factions of the Foreign Relations Committee of the German Bundestag are visiting Georgia. Only the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Nikoloz Samkharadze, met the German guests from the parliamentary majority, although the government became the object of criticism of the opposition for the reason that neither the chairman of the parliament nor the prime minister had an audience with the German guests.
