Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili hosted members of the EU delegation visiting Georgia. According to the Governmental Administration, an official dinner was held at Mtatsminda in honor of the diplomats. The head of the government discussed the European integration process of Georgia in an informal environment.
"A high-level EU regional ambassadorial will be held in Tbilisi, under the organization of the EU representation. High-ranking officials from the EU External Action Service and the European Commission will participate in the regional ambassadorial, including the heads of EU delegations in the Eastern Partnership and Central Asian countries, as well as in Turkey and Austria. The ambassadorial is held periodically and is an important forum for discussing EU policy towards the countries of a specific region.
As mentioned at the official dinner, the holding of the ambassadorial in Georgia emphasizes the importance of Georgia in the region for the European Union; including the role of Georgia as a strong ally in strengthening the cooperation between the countries of Europe and Central Asia", reads the information.
