PM  Met With Representatives Of NBG And Liberty Bank To Ease Loan Interest For 150 000 Pensioners Of Georgia

More than 150 000 pensioners will have their loan interest reduced - this decision was made at a meeting held within the Government Administration, where Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) and Beka Gogichaishvili, CEO of Liberty Bank JSC.

With this decision, more than 150 000 pensioners who took out loans before 2023 will have their loan interest rreduced to equal the interest imposed since 2023.

At the meeting held in the Government Administration, it was mentioned that Liberty Bank JSC will continue to work with the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) on the implementation of the initiative and specific details thereof.

While discussing the issue, the Head of Government of Georgia emphasized that it is important to advance to the next stage in the efficient manner and pensioners to be able to benefit from the eased conditions.
