Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met Vladimir Orlic, Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia on Monday.
The growing interaction between Georgia and the Republic of Serbia was in focus at the meeting. It was noted that economic ties need to further deepen between the two countries. The rising trend of trade was also deemed as being positive during the discussions.
A meeting also focused on the common aspiration of Georgia and the Republic of Serbia towards a fully-fledged membership of the European Union (EU). It was highlighted as well that the two countries are effectively cooperating towards this end both in bilateral and regional formats.
Irakli Garibashvili thanked Vladimir Orlic for the unwavering support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia by the Republic of Serbia and confirmed the clear position of Georgia towards the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
