The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili met with the Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel, Amir Ohana. The government administration disseminates information about this.

According to their reports, at the meeting held in the government administration, the parties reviewed the main directions of cooperation between the countries in various fields. In this context, the successful visit of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili to the State of Israel was highlighted.

As the Prime Minister noted, the Government of Georgia attaches great importance to the development of friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation with the State of Israel.

Irakli Gharibashvili noted that he welcomes the activation of cooperation between the state of Israel and the legislative bodies of Georgia.

"One of the discussed issues was cooperation between the countries in the field of economy, which is characterized by increasing dynamics. The parties expressed their readiness to deepen existing fruitful cooperation in this direction. According to the Prime Minister, the conclusion of a free trade agreement between Georgia and the State of Israel will open up new opportunities for both countries.

The meeting was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia - Hadas Mietzad, the Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia - Revaz Javelidze and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Israel - Lasha Zhvania," the information reads.
