PM participates in European Political Community Summit

The Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze is participating in the European Political Community (EPC) Summit held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

The leaders of about 40 countries participating in the summit are hosted by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

The Georgian Prime Minister emphasized the summit’s importance, noting that he will speak about Georgia’s ongoing processes and Georgia-EU relations both in his speeches and meetings with European leaders.

“It is especially interesting that this event is hosted in by Hungary in Budapest shortly after the US presidential election. I will have speeches at a thematic panel and the concluding plenary session, in which I will deliver messages on matters pertaining to our country and events unfolding around it. We will also have an opportunity to speak with European leaders about topics interesting in terms of Georgia-EU relations, including Georgia’s foreign policy priorities, i.e. EU integration. We will talk about Georgia’s ongoing processes and Georgia-EU relations,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.

The main topic to be discussed at the 5th EPC Summit involves Europe’s security challenges. Thematic discussions are planned as part of the summit. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver speeches at a panel discussion themed around economic security and connectivity, and at the summit’s concluding plenary session.
