Soso Pkhakadze, President of the Business Association of Georgian (BAG), states that the macroeconomic parameters ahve been healthy in the first 4 months of the year and he deeply hopes that the stability will be maintained in the future. Pkhakadze spoke about this while assessing the investment climate in response to BMG's question.
"We have been in business for more than 30 years. Optimistic people do business, so we are always optimistic, but, political instability does not help business development, this is true and I think we all understand.
If we look at the economic growth in the first four months in general, it has been stable and healthy. We hope it will remain so. We are struggling, working very hard to create something valuable, not only for our family but also for the country, so political stability and peace are of special importance to us", said Soso Pkhakadze.
The president of BAG spoke to the media about the importance of the "Local Economic Development Forum" and evaluated the cooperation between the Association and Tbilisi City Hall.
"Business Association of Georgia always participates in this forum. As for cooperation with Tbilisi City Hall, the Business Association of Georgia represents approximately 75% of the country's economy. Taking into account that a large part of the business of our member companies is carried out in Tbilisi, we have active and permanent communication with Tbilisi City Hall and, naturally, we always try to make decisions beneficial to both parties, which will further strengthen the country, the city and its economic development. We welcome the projects implemented by the City Hall", said Soso Pkhakadze.
