Political stability remains one of the most important factors for business development, GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in his speech at the Georgian Business Association conference.
According to him, over the past years the government has taken significant steps to ensure political stability and peace, even though some measures initially brought short-term instability.
“Political stability is of key importance for business, and we are doing our best to ensure it. Much has been done in recent years. Some steps cost us temporary instability, but in the end they allowed us to stabilize the situation qualitatively,” Kobakhidze noted.
GD Prime Minister underlined the role of the Transparency Law, which he said played an important part in reducing polarization in Georgia.
“The Transparency Law helped us a lot in ensuring greater stability and reducing polarization. Unfortunately, opaque external financing was actively used to artificially incite polarization in Georgia. This law has ensured that the degree of polarization has decreased, and radical forces no longer have the opportunity to successfully implement their agenda,” Kobakhidze stated.
