Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated in Dubai that reducing prices is a difficult issue because it involves a free market where businesses independently set their prices.
Kobakhidze emphasized that the government will do everything possible to achieve price reductions in the country but stressed that high social responsibility from businesses is crucial in this process.
He noted that while the free market determines prices, joint efforts between the government and businesses can create opportunities to reduce prices.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that a process to find solutions for price reduction has been announced, expected to continue until the end of April, although reductions could happen earlier.
“The government and businesses must work together to find ways to lower prices. We will continue consultations with the business community to achieve this goal,” Kobakhidze said.
