Georgian Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs Mikheil Sarjveladze met with the representatives of the sector on Wednesday to review the DRG system.
According to Mikheil Sarjveladze, there is a list of issues that need to be revised under the DRG system.
"There is a list of issues that we need to work on improving. I would like to say, that the DRG itself is a mechanism that provides continuous improvement. Right now, there are opportunities to respond to the needs as quickly as possible, including the price adjustment in both directions,"- the minister said.
DRG system, practiced globally, was activated in November 2022. The reform aims to increase accessibility to high-quality medical services, reduce co-financing and ensure efficiency and transparency in the healthcare system.
