The Georgian Government has decided to write off the property taxes from the country’s tourism sector, - Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili revealed on Monday.
Medea Janiashvili, the Acting Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration declares that property tax relief will stimulate HoReCa sector.
"We have very close communication with the private sector and all needs are discussed during the meetings. It is gratifying that the 2021 property tax has been fully written off for accommodation, catering and beverage outlets, as well as tour operators and travel agencies, which is an additional benefit for them to do business and recover the tourist flows in the shortest possible time. It should be noted that since the beginning of the pandemic, the state has been offering certain benefits to the private sector, the main goal is fast and timely recovery of the tourism industry, "- said Medea Janiashvili.
