Starting in 2026, the salary of the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, will increase from GEL 13,140 to GEL 14,400 per month, a raise of GEL 1,260. According to the Law “On the Public Defender,” the Ombudsman’s salary is set equal to that of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

Levan Ioseliani’s latest property declaration, covering January–December 2024 and submitted in February 2025, shows the following assets:
Apartment: In June 2022, Ioseliani purchased a 201-square-meter apartment on Sairme Street for $126,000.
Land: In 2020, his wife, Tea Nasaridze, acquired a 1,398-square-meter plot of land in Kiketi for $62,000.
Vehicle: Ioseliani owns a Toyota RAV4, purchased in 2015 for $20,000.
Income
In 2024, Ioseliani’s total remuneration from the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia and the UN Association of Georgia amounted to GEL 104,442.
His wife’s income, working as a lawyer at Ento LLC and heading the legal departments of CBD Development LLC and BD Propert, totaled GEL 201,316 in 2024.
Levan Ioseliani was elected Public Defender in 2023. Prior to that, he served as a parliamentary deputy for the political party "Citizens" starting in 2020, and from February 2021, he was Deputy Chairman of the Parliament.
