Qatar has decided to recognize Georgia-issued driving license, the Georgian Interior Ministry (MIA) announced on Wednesday, crediting the Georgian Embassy to Qatar, the MIA, and Qatar Interior Ministry for enabling the very move.
Under the decision, Georgian citizens, holding Qatar Residence Permit, can change Georgian driving license by getting Qatari driving license without additional testing and compulsory training course, the agency noted.
“A person should hold both Georgia-issued driving license and an international driving license, which will be valid for three months after arriving in Qatar.
To change the license, interested individuals should apply to the Traffic Department Headquarters in Doha, Qatar,” the Ministry added.
