Former Minister of Economy Giorgi Kobulia talks about the shortcomings in the public administration system. As he told TV Pirveli, one of the major drawbacks of the current government is that businesses close to the government have privileges.

"Granting privileges to businesses close to the government is one of the major shortcomings of our management system. This not only leads to misuse of the state resources, but also demotivation of the entire state machine and system. When state officials, from whom we are expecting to make the right decision for the country, people see that decisions are made by giving privileges to those, who are close to them. It brings nihilism and demotivation and we accept that today the state machine is inert.

We have this problem in our management system for years. That problem was during the previous government. I cannot say that this problem is more severe in the current government than in the previous one. It may be less severe today, but it still exists and is an obstacle,” said Giorgi Kobulia.
