Tbilisi City Hall started a number of rehabilitation projects in Old Tbilisi 4 years ago. The City Mayor declared then that the real estate price would be increased in the rehabilitated areas.
BM.GE inquired today whether any research was conducted to reveal how much the real estate price has increased in the rehabilitated areas:
"In all the areas, where rehabilitation works have been carried out, the current value is much higher than it was before the rehabilitation. But we should not be content with the current results and even more things should be done. There are districts, streets, where beautiful buildings are in a bad condition,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
According to him, real estate prices are increased, but it is difficult to name specific numbers.
