The evaluations we heard from the European Commissioner confirm how much work the Georgian authorities have done to fulfill the recommendations - we and Moldova have fulfilled three recommendations, and this achievement is also important, considering the environment in which the Parliament had to work, - Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, told reporters.
"Yesterday we learned that Georgia and Moldova have already fulfilled three recommendations, Ukraine has fulfilled 2 so far. As for other recommendations, there is also great progress. It is good that for the first time there was an opportunity to hear through the interim report the expectations that the European Commission has regarding these recommendations. Therefore, we are confident that by the end of October, when the final assessment is made, based on our further work, all recommendations will be considered implemented. It is important that the recent decisions were not reflected in this assessment - the Parliament has been working intensively in recent weeks and we have passed several laws. Therefore, we will have a dialogue with Brussels so that these changes and the next steps that we have planned are properly reflected in terms of the implementation of the recommendations. We and Moldova have fulfilled three recommendations, Ukraine has fulfilled two - this achievement is also important, considering the environment in which the Parliament had to work - opposition boycott, obstruction, disinformation campaigns against Georgia. Despite this destruction and obstruction by the opposition and some non-governmental organizations, Georgia is still in a leading position," said Shalva Papuashvili.
