Georgian Universities do not have a pulse on the world map, - Koka Topuria, rector of the University of Georgia told TV-Program Business Morning.
According to Topuria, Georgian universities have never been listed even in the top 1,000 universities from around the world.
"Our universities are mainly proud of receiving the best entrants. It’s about the same as making a hospital proud that they receive the healthiest patients. In fact, this is not an indicator that a university should be ranked, or a hospital should be proud of. A good university means a good team of professors. The sole objective criteria for assessing the professors’ qualification is their contribution to science," Topuria said.
