The President's closest relatives will be banned by law from holding political positions in Kazakhstan, said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan.
"There will be a legislative ban on the president's family members from holding positions of political civil servants and leaders in the quasi-public sector," he said.
He suggested fixing this norm in the Constitution and stressed that the head of state should act as an unshakable guarantor of equal opportunities for all citizens, KazTag reports.
