Remittances to Georgia Rise to $298 MLN in November, Led by the United States and Italy

Remittance inflows to Georgia continued to grow in November 2025, reaching $298.39 million, according to data released by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). The figure represents an 11.9% increase year-on-year compared with November 2024, highlighting the sustained importance of remittances to the country’s economy.

The United States remained the largest source of remittance inflows during the month, with transfers totaling $58 million, reflecting a 16% annual increase. Italy ranked second, sending $50 million to Georgia, with remittance volumes from the country rising by 11% year-on-year.

Russia held the third position, accounting for $38 million in remittance inflows. Transfers from Russia recorded a particularly strong performance, increasing by 29% compared to the same period last year.

The latest figures underscore the continued reliance on remittances from key partner countries and the growing contribution of Georgian expatriates to the national economy.
