In June 2026, the average price of a restaurant lunch in Georgia increased by 11% year-on-year, according to Geostat data. Monthly inflation stood at 0.1%, while annual inflation reached 5.8%. Prices in the food and non-alcoholic beverages category also rose by 5.6% compared to the same period last year.
The data shows that traditional Georgian dishes have also become more expensive across different types of establishments. Compared to June last year, khinkali prices in restaurants increased by 8%. Khachapuri prices rose by 10% in cafés and by 9% in bakeries, reflecting broader upward pressure on food-related costs in the hospitality sector.
Beverage prices have also climbed. Beer in bars became 10% more expensive year-on-year, while coffee prices in cafés increased by 4%. These changes reflect a steady rise in costs across both food and drink categories in the country’s consumer market.
Overall, the figures point to moderate but consistent inflationary pressure, particularly affecting dining out and staple traditional foods that are widely consumed across Georgia.
