The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure enforced traffic regulations on several roads due to persistent snowfall and adverse weather conditions.
According to the department, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is prohibited on the Sajavakho-Chokhataruri section of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road.
On the other hand, movement is permitted on the Mleta-Gudauri, Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi, and Stepantsminda-Larsi roads for trailers and M3 category vehicles with a capacity of over 22 passengers, but only in an uninterrupted mode and through the avalanche-protective tunnels.
